Homeopathy is a natural form of medicine used by over 200 million people worldwide to treat both acute and chronic conditions. It is based on the principle of ‘like cures like’. In other words, a substance taken in small amounts will cure the same symptoms it causes if taken in large amounts.
- Homeopathic treatment works with your body’s own healing powers to bring about health and well being.
- You are treated as an individual, not as a collection of disease labels.
- Homeopathy treats all your symptoms at all levels of your being – spiritual, emotional, mental and physical and finds the ‘like cures like’ match for them.
- Homeopathically prepared remedies, providing the minimum dose, are gentle, subtle and powerful. They are non-addictive, and not tested on animals.
Eczema is a term for a group of different conditions that cause the skin to become irritated or inflamed. In this particular case, the skin is very dry, cracked and extremely itchy especially when exposed to the cold wind.

Amazing Live Blood Analysis Results
Seeing your own blood magnified 18,000 times on a screen is all it takes to become convinced that your body is full of them.
Live & Dry Blood Analysis has been practiced now for over 100 years, and gives a unique perspective on an individual’s health. Live Blood samples are viewed under a powerful microscope using a technique called Darkfield, which is capable of revealing the delicate elements of the blood. Dry Blood samples are required also as they more accurately assess the level of free radical activity or oxidative stress. Excessive levels of free radical activity are associated with degenerative diseases such as cancer, heart disease, strokes, memory loss, and arthritis.
Homeopathy is the second most widely used system of medicine in the world. Its growth in popularity in the United States has been around 25 to 50 percent a year throughout the last decade.
Homeopathy’s roots emerge from the findings, teachings and writings of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843). Hahnemann graduated from medical school in 1779 and started his own medical practice. He soon began his first homeopathic experiments in 1790, as a result of his disillusionment with such common medical practices of the day as purging, bloodletting, and the use of toxic chemicals. At one point, he gave up his own daily practice to begin working as a chemist while translating medical texts. It was when Hahnemann began working on a project to translate William Cullen’s Materia Medica into German that he began his quest for a better way of providing healthcare using the principles of “Similars.” While working on this project, he became fascinated with a species of South American tree-bark (cinchona) which was being used to treat malaria-induced fever. Hahnemann ingested the bark and discovered that it caused symptoms similar to malaria. He continued his research into “cures” and the idea of “similar suffering,” and began compiling his findings. Similia similibus curentur, the Latin phrase meaning “let likes be cured by likes,” is the primary principle of homeopathy.
The First U.S. Homeopathic School
Students of Hahnemann founded the first homeopathic medical school in the United States in the late 1800’s. It gained recognition because of its success in treating the many disease epidemics rampant at the time — including scarlet fever, typhoid, cholera and yellow fever.
Ontario College of Homeopathic medicine
OCHM was founded in 2001 as a not for profit institution for the advancement and education of Homeopathic Medicine. Today, OCHM welcomes a diverse group of men and women who graduate with the highest degree of academic and clinical training in Classical Homeopathy.
References to the basic principles of homeopathy are found in ancient writings and in the traditions of native medicines. These principles were re-discovered over 200 years ago by German physician Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843) who developed them into the science that he called Homeopathy – from the Greek words homoios (similar) and pathos(disease or suffering). This new system of healing quickly spread throughout Europe and beyond. Members of Britain’s Royal Family have used it since Queen Victoria’s reign. By the late 1800s, homeopathy had become one of the most popular healthcare systems in North America, valued by both doctors and families using home remedy kits.
The popularity of homeopathy declined in the early 20th century with the advent of pharmaceutical drugs and other modern therapies. In recent decades, however, as many people have turned to alternate forms of medicine to avoid side-effects from conventional treatment, the use of homeopathy has exploded throughout most parts of the world. It is now an accepted form of medicine in many European and Latin American countries, the UK, India and recently has been regulated in Ontario Canada.
In North America, the most common approach to prescribing homeopathy is known as Classical Homeopathy, which is based on the selection of a single remedy that most closely matches your symptoms at a particular time and then waiting to observe your response before administering another remedy. This method focuses on the underlying disturbance or disease that causes the symptoms, rather than on the symptoms themselves. Classical homeopathic treatment is sometimes referred to as Constitutional Prescribing.
The Homeopathic remedies are prepared from almost all the natural sources like plants, minerals, animals etc. The chemical or the curative properties of the crude substance are activated by a process called Potentization. This is unique process and only Homeopathic remedies are prepared in this way. In this process the quantity of the substance is reduced gradually while improving its quality or the curative properties.
Remedies used by homeopathic physicians come from natural sources and are prepared in such a way that they are devoid of all chemical toxicity. In conventional medicine, drugs are generally given for their effects on the organism, while in homeopathy, the unique remedy is given to provoke a healing reaction of the organism. Since only the living organism can heal itself, the homeopathic remedy is merely an influence used to provoke the immune system to bring about recovery. The greater the degree of similarity between the symptoms that are provoked by the remedy on a healthy person and the symptoms displayed by the person who is sick, the greater will be the recovery reaction.
Years of experience have enabled homeopathic physicians to confirm that in the great majority of cases, the fundamental cause of disease is the general predisposition of the individual to be sick. The imbalance, or diseased state, is in fact only the expression of this predisposition to be sick once the conjuncture of other factors has become favorable to its expression. With the most similar remedy (or in other words, the most homeopathic), the organism re-balances itself globally so that the tendency to be sick is greatly decreased. This explains the extraordinary results achieved by homeopathy!
